ZEN DEN

ZEN DEN: A special session at LFCS where students of all grades are trained to find serenity and thankfulness. At Lady Florence Convent School learning abode beyond academics. Our focus is on evolving a peaceful individual ready to face the challenges of the world with clutter free mind and with sense of gratitude towards life. In today’s fast-moving age with AI technology at hand and other electronic gadgets easily available to every child, students quite often get swept off their feet and feel overwhelmed. At LFCS through ZEN DEN Sessions, we take pre-emptive action and do not allow our students succumb to the challenges of the fast-pacing life. At LFCS, we manage noise mindfully with silence — with the gentle practice of आत्मनः भावः. (“the state of being the Self”) in accordance with our motto “Light Thy Soul”

The Zen Den is a sanctum where students realize their own peaceful existence by breathing exercise, by reflecting, and reconnecting with their inner self. Each ZENDEN session consists of mindful breathing session and a gratitude activity. Thus, every session in the Zen Den is curated to cultivate gratitude, peace, and presence.

Mindfulness activities are designed keeping in mind the age and grade level, ranging from sensory awareness for younger learners to meditative stillness and reflective discussions for senior students.

Zen Den is not a place — it is a state of real self in consonance with nature that students evolve in themselves and carry with them into their classrooms, homes, and communities

At LFCS, we are creating mindful individuals who can emerge as a successful person without getting involved in the rat race of unhealthy comparison and competition with their peers and at the same time — we are nurturing conscientious souls who will create a better world.
