School Rules & Regulations
- Student must carry his / her almanac to school everyday. It must have his / her photograph and identification information complete and signed by parents.
- Students should be neatly dressed. The school uniform is to be worn on all working days. Strict action will be taken against students who do not adhere to the uniform norms of the school.No low waist (skirts/ trousers) are permitted.Shirts should be properly tucked in.
- Boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals. No spikes/ streaks are permitted. The boys in senior classes need to shave at regular intervals.
- Girls should plait their hair if it is below their shoulders. Short hair should be neatly cut and pinned.
- Students are expected to respect the property of others. This includes respect for school property. No student should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls, furniture or in any way damage things that belong to others. Damage done, even by accident, should be reported at once to the class teacher or the Principal. Any damage done will be made good by the one who causes it.
- The school is not responsible for the goods lost. It is advisable not to bring valuable articles (like expensive Watches, Pens, Mobiles, I-Pods, Cameras, Pen Drives, CDs etc.) to school. If your ward needs to bring in any of the above mentioned items, they should be deposited with the class teacher for the day they must not be used in the school premises or the school bus. In case, the student is found carrying any of these valuables they will be confiscated and not returned.
- Students are not to wear any jewellery to school (e.g. Chains, Rings, Bangles, Bracelets etc.) Girls may wear a pair of earrings or studs.
- Students who come to school in the care of servants are not allowed to leave before the servants arrive. In case of delay, they should report to the school office. Those who go on their own should be prompt in returning straight home.
- Students should be polite wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet them. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offences.
- The school reserves the right to suspend or take strict disciplinary action against a student whose diligence or progress in studies is constantly unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
- As far as possible, once the child has come to school, he / she should not be taken home on half day leave. No short leave will be granted under any circumstances on the weekly test days. In case the student writes the test and then leaves, he / she will be marked absent for the day.
- Students should get their Report Cards signed by their Parents / Guardians within five days of the receipt of the Report Cards and return them to the class teachers. If lost, a fine will be imposed.
- Students must not miss any teaching / games / library / activity periods.
- No student should indulge in any of the following practices:
- Spitting in or near the school building.
- Disfiguring or otherwise damaging any school property.
- Smoking and Any form of gambling
- Rowdy and rude behaviour.
- Use of violence in any form.
- Casteism, communalism or practice of untouchability.
- Students, under any circumstances should not drive down to school. Strict action will be taken against the students violating this rule.
- Students are expected to maintain discipline while travelling in the school bus. If found misbehaving, the bus facility will be withdrawn with immediate effect.
- The observance of rules of discipline of the school and good behaviour is an essential condition to a student’s continuance in the school. In case a student violates the school rules or indulges in any form of indiscipline, strict action like expulsion / suspension / restigation shall be taken against the student.
- The school planner has been put in the almanac for your convenience & to help you plan your functions / holidays. All working days are deemed as working days & internal events/ functions / monday test / assessments are subject to shift/ change at a day’s notice (in special circumstances) at the discretion of the Management.
FEE RULES
- Always bring fee card at the time of fee deposit.
- Deposit Fee before 12th of every month.
Time : Summer 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 P.M.
Time : Winter 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 P.M. - After 13th, only cash will be accepted with fine of Rs. 10/- per day.
- The tuition fees for the month of May – June and Feb. – March will be deposited together in the months of May & February respectively.
- Examination Fee will be deposited in the month of Sept.
- School dues can be paid by cash or by cheque issued on Gurgaon / Delhi banks.
- Parents should send crossed cheque in favour of lady Florence Convent School (With the name and class of students written at the back of it.)
- Outstation cheques are not acceptable.
- Any cheque returned by bank (dishonored) will be treated in the category of non – payment of fees and Rs. 500 will be charged extra as fine.
- In case of continuous fee default for two months, name of student will be stuck off and re- admission will be considered on the basis of availability of seats.
- If the fee – card is lost or destroyed it can be obtained from school fee counter at the payment of Rs. 20.
BUS RULES
- Bus routes once fixed are not normally changed.
- Bus Facility once availed can not be discontinued in mid of the session.
- The bus facility is extended as a privilege and cannot be claimed as a right it can be withdrawn any time due to any emergency.
- Bus charges will be charged for eleven months (except June).
- Parents/guardians are requested to notify the school in case of any change of address as automatic change to another school bus is not guaranteed. In all cases any change of bus must be with the explicit permission of the school authorities.
- Parents must keep in mind that the request for temporary change in the Bus stop will not be entertained, keeping child’s safety in mind.
- Parents shall receive the child at Bus stop or make adequate arrangement.
- The management reserves the right of amending or revising the transportation charges due to hike in taxes or price of petrol or diesel without any prior notice to the parents.
- All students using the school bus are expected to be on the right side of the bus stop at least five minutes before the scheduled arrival of the bus.
- The buses will not wait for late comers.
- Children should stand away from the main road till the bus arrives.
- No student should come near the entry door of the bus till the bus stops.
- All students must be seated immediately after boarding the bus.
- The front door of the bus is the only authorised entrance and exit.
- The drivers are authorized to stop buses at the designated stops only, unless otherwise directed by the bus teacher in-charge. The list of stops is prepared keeping in view the convenience and safety of all bus commuters.
- When the bus is in motion, students must not move around in the bus and no part of their body should be outside the bus.
- Objects of any kind should not be discarded inside or thrown out of the bus.
- Students will be held responsible for any damage caused by negligence or vandalism.
- No student is allowed to eat in the bus.
- Unruly behavior like shrieking, and shouting is strictly prohibited. Courteous behavior is expected at all times.
- The driver’s attention must not be distracted from driving for any reason.
- The bus teacher and student bus monitors are responsible for maintaining discipline in the buses. Any serious offence must be reported to the Principal at once.
- Continuous bad and disruptive behavior will result in the bus facility being withdrawn for a period of time.
DISINCENTIVES
- YELLOW CARD: To be issued by the Rep. for a period of 5 days. This is to be signed by the Class Teacher, Rep., Principal and Parent. This is also to be signed after every period by the concerned subject teacher. At the end of 5 days, the card is to be signed by the Principal and returned to the Rep. Two Yellow cards will mean suspension from school for three days. Three Yellow cards will mean expulsion from the school. The Yellow card will be given for:
- Missing classes, Assembly, SUPW, Library, PE etc.
- Inappropriate behaviour in the school premises.
- Cheating during any test or exam.
- Damaging school property.
- Rude or insolent behaviour with a teacher.
- RED CARD: To be issued by the In-charge for a period of 3 days and signed by the Principal. The card will be returned to the In-charge. Three Red Cards will mean one Yellow Card. The card is to be issued for the following:
- Repeated careless and untidy work.
- Coming to school in Improper Uniform.
- Coming late to school.
- Not bringing the Almanac to school.
- Misbehaviour in the bus & classroom.
- Missing Monday tests repeatedly.
- Not submitting an application for absence immediately after joining back.
LATE ARRIVAL IN SCHOOL
- The School gate will be closed after the scheduled time.
- Children will not be allowed to enter the school once the gate is closed.
WITHDRAWALS
- Those who leave the school in May must pay the fees for the month of June.
- Transfer Certificates are not issued until all dues of the school are settled.
- It will take 7 working days after clearance to process an application for withdrawal, so ensure timely approval for the same.
- Under special circumstances i.e. disruptive attitude, consistent bad behavior and non-performance in academics, a student will not be permitted to continue his/ her studies in school.
ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL
- Students who have been sick should bring a medical certificate from their doctor on joining school. A copy of the certificate is to be submitted in the school.
- Parents should fill up the “Record for Non-Attendance” for each day the student is absent from school stating the reasons for absence.
- A student who has been absent on the previous day will not be admitted to the class without a letter from the parent addressed to the Class Teacher, stating the reasons for the absence. Leave for going out of station should be approved of, prior to proceeding on leave.
- In case of an emergency, parents will be informed and they will have to report to the Principal. They are not allowed to go to the Classes directly.
- A student returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a doctor’s certificate permitting him/ her to do so.
- Student suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class:
- Chicken Pox : Till complete falling of the scabs.
- Cholera : Till the child is completely well.
- Measles : Two weeks after the rash disappears.
- Mumps : Until the swelling has gone; about one month.
- Jaundice : Six weeks after recovery.
- Corona : After 15 days along with the corona negative report.
- Continuous absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than six consecutive days renders the student liable to have his / her name struck off the rolls. Re-admission may be granted only on payment of a fresh admission fee.
