Visual Art Panorama: Inter-House Rangoli Competition (Grades IX–XII)

Lady Florence Convent School organized a rangoli competition to showcase the creativity of our students from Grades IX to XII. The corridors of our school were used as a platform by the students to present their creative designs.

The participants came together for the much-awaited Inter-House Rangoli Competition under the festive fluoresce of Diwali. The theme of the rangoli festival was – Festival of light- Uniting People with cultural pride. The corridors during one hour of the event echoed with the cheerful voices of the participants who, while creating designs, were also suggesting each other the ideas to further improve their presentations. It was good to see team coordination and collaborative learning during the event.

Nightingale House was awarded First Position. The participants were Anamika (XI Commerce), Komal (XI Science), Sagar (XI Arts), Yogita (XI Commerce). They created sparkling peacock motifs with a vibrant blend of colours. Nightingale House presented a beautiful classic design that reflected symmetry, balance, and coherence of thoughts. Their design captivated the attention of the jury and was awarded the first position.

Magpie House was declared the runner-up. The Participants were: Soumya Sawariya (IX), Ayesha (XI Arts), Varsha (XII Commerce), Arnav (VIII A), Bhumika (XII Commerce), Shabnam (IX A). Their colourful peacock rangoli depicted vibrant hues of colours and elegance.

Kingfisher House participants were Pavani (XI Arts), Kanika (XI Arts), Garima (XI Arts), Sakshi (XI Commerce), Riya (XI Commerce), Shrishti (XI Science). Kingfisher’s Rangoli art presented Techno-Diwali. Their design was futuristic in nature and reflected a beautiful blending of technology with tradition.

Skylark House participants were Tanya (X B), Aadhya (XI Science), Ruby (IX A), Vivek (VIII A). The Skylark team created a design featuring a gleaming diya and colourful flowers, depicting a true essence of festivity and joy..

The event truly shows the commitment of the school to integrate art into its curriculum practices and with a focus on Indian culture and vibrant traditions. All four Houses transformed the school corridors’ floors into a beautiful art gallery.

The event was a grand success and was concluded with cheers, laughter, and a shared sense of joyful learning.
