Cultural Adulation and Community Connect

The foundation of any society is its education system, deeply moored in its culture and traditions. At Lady Florence Convent School Gurgaon, we emphasize that students should stay connected with the community culture in which they thrive.

Our procedural educational practices in school teach our students the Indian cultural ethos, which is diverse and inclusive, with its deep belief in Vasudev Kutumbakum. We uphold our commitment to nurture our students as consciously connected with the community.

With the idea to connect with our community’s inclusive ethos, the school organizes many community connect activities that develop a sense of reverence and respect for the inclusive cultural diversity of our nation.

As part of this effort, the school had organized a visit to Gurudwara for our primary-grade students to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism and a harbinger of truth, empathy, and equality.

It was a spiritual expedition for our young learners as they complied with the rectitude of the shrine and also recited the soothing hymns along with religious gurus. Students also participated in the Langar, the practice that taught them the values of selfless service and charity.

Teachers and students reflected upon Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s invaluable teachings — Naam Japna , Kirat Karni, and Vand Chakna. These precious teachings are timeless lessons for our students. We believe that the visit to Gurudwara connected the students with the community, but also inspired them to uphold these values with them and spread them wherever they go.

The visit to Gurudwara as a community connect programme corroborates Lady Florence Convent School’s commitment to keep its students rooted in India’s diverse and vibrant culture.
