Lady Florence Convent School on 15th August 2025, organized a special event to commemorate the journey of the freedom struggle and celebrate the odyssey of India’s development. The theme of celebration was Nation First. The school Principal, along with the student council members, hoisted the national flag, followed by the national anthem and cultural programs. The event paid tribute to freedom fighters, and the entire school community immersed itself in a collective celebration of freedom, diversity, patriotism, and unity.

The school also celebrated traditional festivals like Rakshabandhan and Janmaashthami in the month of August in full zeal and enthusiasm. During the circle time, students were oriented about the significance of these festivals. The entire school celebrated the festivals in unique ways. Special themes were curated for the celebrations. Rakshabandhan was celebrated under the theme: We Care for All. The students were made to understand that a single knot is a symbol of lifelong bonding of love and care, not only between brothers and sisters, but for everyone who needs care and protection. The theme for Janmaashtami was Adversity is the Parent of Virtue. The message was sent across all grades that in life, one should endure adversity with confidence. Through various enactments, it was showcased how Krishna faced odd conditions right after his birth, but with his grit and confidence, he overcame all and stood as an example for all that adversity is the parent of all virtues.

Inter-Branch “Poem Recitation Competition – ‘Jugalbandi’ on 28th August 2025 was organized for Grades 1 to 3. Students participated in pairs and mesmerized the audience with their recitation. For the senior Grades debate competition was organized. The motion for the debate was One Nation, Many Voices. Participants delivered their stance in favour and against the motion with confidence and logic. The event was a great success with both sides’ speaker putting across their arguments convincingly. The participants were applauded by the judges and the audience for their hard work, quick response in rebuttal rounds, talent, dedication, and teamwork. The success of the two events is testimony that the flame of knowledge is radiating brightly at Lady Florence Convent School.
